During an operation to capture drug traffickers in the southern border area, special forces sniper Leng Feng (played by Wu Jing) openly defies orders from his superiors, shooting and injuring his teammate, the thug Wu Ji (played by Zhou Xiaolou). This action leads to Leng Feng facing military confinement and even forced retirement.
