This film simply narrates the story of Bruce Lee, who practiced martial arts from a young age. After getting into trouble in Hong Kong, he had to flee to America, where he first worked washing dishes in a Chinese restaurant. There, he got into a fight over a waitress with a kitchen chef and was subsequently fired by the restaurant owner. The owner recognized Bruce Lee's potential and advised him to leave the restaurant to attend university, even offering to fund some of his tuition. At university, Bruce Lee met his wife, Linda. In addition to thrilling martial arts scenes, the film meticulously depicts the romantic journey between Bruce Lee and his wife Linda (played by Lauren Holly) from their initial meeting to their union. Later, with Linda's support, Bruce Lee opened his martial arts studio and made a name for himself. Bruce Lee died at the age of 32, and the cause of his death remains a mystery to this day. The film hints that, after achieving fame in Hollywood, Bruce Lee faced the contradiction between the spirit of traditional Chinese martial arts and the commercialization of Hollywood, compounded by the persistent shadow of racial discrimination. He was tormented by nightmares every night, and several surreal dreams foreshadowed the tragic end of this legendary star.
