This film is adapted from a Belgian comic book series, which is inspired by the video game of the same name, XIII. Three months after the assassination of the first female president of the United States while giving a speech on "Veterans Day," a battered and ragged man (played by Stephen Dorff) appears in a forest. He has no name, no memory, no past, and his appearance has changed drastically, as if he had never been in this world. The only clue is the tattoo on his body that reads "XIII." With the help of a mysterious organization, XIII escapes from prison, encounters a familiar lover, and is forced into a deal by the mysterious organization while being pursued by another group. Their goal is the memory chip hidden in XIII's watch, and everything remains unclear. XIII discovers he is caught in a huge conspiracy, and he is not the real XIII; the real XIII was silenced after the assassination of the president. He is an undercover agent assigned by the then-deputy director of the National Security Agency, intended to lure out the mastermind behind the scenes...
