Memphis (played by Nicolas Cage) is the most skilled car thief in the world, known as "gone in 60 seconds." As long as a car he targets is parked, he can make both the car and its owner disappear without a trace in 60 seconds. Memphis eventually grows tired of the thrilling yet pressure-laden life of a car thief and announces his retirement. However, his brother wants to follow in his footsteps and soon finds himself involved in a dangerous gang transaction.
