In the IPSC practical shooting competition, officer Zhuang Ziwai (played by Daniel Wu) breaks the tournament record, but the new record is quickly rewritten by Hong Kong fund manager Kwan Yau Bo (played by Louis Koo), who wins the championship. After the competition, Kwan Yau Bo encounters masked robbers who attack an armored car, resulting in the death of a guard. At that moment, a traffic officer (played by Lin Kai) passes by and is injured by the robbers. To save him, Kwan Yau Bo shoots and kills four robbers and calls the police. Another robber flees, while $400 million in bonds is stolen. The traffic officer is rescued, and Kwan Yau Bo's girlfriend (played by Charlene Choi) is the one taking care of him. Due to illegal possession of firearms and injury to others, Kwan Yau Bo is detained. During the interrogation, Zhuang Ziwai discovers that Kwan Yau Bo remains unusually calm.
