"Hot Blood" is set at the "Wangli Chang Hotel" located on Busan's dock - "Jiu Yan," telling the story of a gangster organization. Jung Woo plays the role of the boxer-turned-ruler of the "Wangli Chang Hotel" and the thug leader of "Jiu Yan," Song Yong-gam's brother, Xi Xiu. In this drama, Jung Woo will portray a human collective that is filled with betrayal, cunning, and deceit, in stark contrast to the cool and chivalrous image that people often imagine of gangsters, all in the struggle for survival and livelihood. "Hot Blood" is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by writer Kim Yeon-soo, which won the 22nd Korean Literature Award. It will be directed by Cheon Myeong-Gwan, the original author of the novel "High Aging Family," marking their directorial debut.
