On her wedding anniversary, CIA agent Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is tasked with interrogating a Russian spy who has surrendered. The spy claims to have infiltrated the U.S. since the 1980s and reveals that a master spy has trained several children to be sent into ordinary American families to await the opportunity to assassinate the President. Shockingly, the Russian identifies Salt as one of those children. Despite the objections of the CIA agents, Salt insists on returning home. After a thrilling pursuit, she temporarily evades her former colleagues. Soon, when the Russian president visits the U.S., Salt becomes embroiled in various conspiracies, and her true identity becomes increasingly murky…
