A typhoon passes, and the overcast sky looms over the isolated island, with no clear end in sight. Inside an old residential building, several gang members are suddenly attacked. The assailants are nimble, and after severing the head of the gang leader, Ma Tiantai, they vanish into the night…The next day, the island's female police officer, Xiao He (played by Celina Jade), climbs a tree to rescue her cat. A passing man, who identifies himself as Abu (played by Wu Jing), helps her. The two encounter three fierce Thai bandits at a food stall. Xiao He is straightforward but unable to defend herself, and Abu steps in to take down the three men, accompanying Xiao He back to the police station. Abu invokes jealousy in Officer Taishan (played by Sam Lee), who has an interest in Xiao He, while fellow officers Guan Gong (played by Xu Shaoxiong) and Liang Bao (played by Anthony Fan) tease him, bringing warmth and liveliness to the lonely police station on the island.Ma Tiantai's widow, Sasaki (played by Aoyama Rinko), orders her subordinate Fat Rong (played by Lam Suet) to take a group to the island to retrieve Ma's head to complete the corpse.
