Frank Martin (Jason Statham), a skilled retired special forces soldier, now makes a living transporting goods in his BMW. Regardless of whether he is serving bank robbers, Frank focuses more on contracts and principles. After completing a job, he inevitably faces police questioning and new assignments. An American crime group entrusts Frank with transporting an item, and he accidentally discovers that the cargo is a woman named Lai (Shu Qi). After completing the task, however, the group wants to silence him, forcing him to take Lai back to his place. The trouble Frank has gotten into is clearly significant, as his employers later lay waste to his residence, and Lai’s mysterious identity surfaces: she is the only daughter of an international smuggler. Frank becomes embroiled in the father-daughter enmity related to human trafficking, and he must make a decision regarding his relationship with Lai and the concept of justice.
