Ah Qiu (played by Anthony Wong) was once a well-trained police officer. Now retired, he works as a taxi driver, living a life of dependency with his son Dongdong. Although life is tough, it is filled with warmth and joy. One day, Ah Qiu's ex-wife suddenly appears before him, and she has now become the wife of the gangster Zhao Zhongtian (played by Lung Fong). She has only one purpose for this visit: to take Dongdong away from Ah Qiu.
