"Chase for Gold" tells the story of ten boxes of stolen gold at a gold mining site in Hainan. Led by Du Zhongxiong, a special task force is dispatched to Hong Kong to work with the police in the Special Administrative Region to solve the case. The stolen gold was taken by technician Luo Qiang in collusion with Xu Biao. Xu Biao's partner, Zhou Heng, set a trap to kill Xu and monopolize the goods, but was instead killed by Xu Biao. During the investigation, Du Zhongxiong discovers that Xu Biao is actually Feng, a long-lost sworn brother. Smuggler Lei Tian saves Xu's life during the police pursuit of Xu Biao over the division of the gold, and promises to eliminate Du Zhongxiong and others for Xu.
