On the mysterious Aluruprus Snow Mountain, several members of K University's mountaineering club mysteriously disappear. To find their companions, other members of the club enter the mountains under the leadership of the search director (played by Ichiro Chiba) to look for the victims, facing countless hardships. However, the real ordeal lies ahead. One night, the team encounters the legendary snowman (played by Sagara Sanshirō), and a young man named Takashi Iijima (played by Akira Tōda) chases after it, but is pushed off a cliff by a gang led by Ōba (played by Yoshio Kosugi) who profits from capturing animals. Iijima is saved by a girl from a primitive tribe named Chika (played by Akemi Negishi), but is then hung between cliffs by ignorant villagers. Seizing this opportunity, Iijima gets to know the snowman and gains a new understanding of this terrifying, ugly creature. Meanwhile, Ōba attempts to capture the snowman for profit... This film is adapted from the science fiction novel by Shizuku Koyama and faced significant distribution obstacles due to sensitive topics such as incest within primitive tribes, not being widely released until 2009 in various media formats.
