Wang Zhenbang is a Sino-British mixed-race individual raised abroad, working as a journalist and novelist. While on vacation in Shenzhen, he needs to receive his ancestral home that has been abandoned for many years. During a visit to his uncle's family, he meets his cousin Zhou Anqi again, but she has become blind. She lost her sight over a decade ago in a fire.
