He Lij Zhu (played by Sammi Cheng) goes on vacation to the Caribbean, where she meets a handsome and cultured man. Although they have only known each other for 7 days, they get married in a flash. However, their happiness is short-lived as the man tragically dies while diving, leaving He Lij Zhu heartbroken. Later, this brief marriage does not help Lij Zhu forget her husband quickly. She remains immersed in the shadows of her life, unable to pull herself out. One day, she accidentally discovers that she can see ghosts with her left eye. After this, Lij Zhu meets Wang Jinwei (played by Lau Ching-Wan). He claims to be Lij Zhu's elementary school classmate who had a deep affection for her. At first, Lij Zhu finds him troublesome, but as they spend more time together, she receives his help and comfort, which helps her heal the emotional pain from her husband's death. Before Wang Jinwei is about to reincarnate, Lij Zhu wishes for him to bring her husband back for a meeting; however, Wang Jinwei is unable to do so. Eventually, Lij Zhu slowly realizes that her wishes are not in vain, and the hope for life begins to return to her heart bit by bit.
