The film tells the story of a series of bizarre murders in Hong Kong, where the victims show symptoms of excessive blood loss. Writer Azu (played by Li Can Sen) and reporter Herpes (played by Lin Xiao Feng) are good friends who become interested in these cases for different reasons: Azu seeks creative inspiration while Herpes looks for news material. Azu's Indonesian online friend, Wang Yin (played by Hu Xing Er), is a spiritual expert who believes that the situation is more complex than it seems. She travels to Hong Kong to team up with Azu and Herpes for an investigation. As the three delve deeper, they discover that bacteria are to blame; a kind of ancient tree in Indonesia harbors a fungus. When this wood is made into coffins, the corpses are controlled by the fungus and turn into zombies. This wood has recently made its way to Hong Kong. Multiple murders are committed by the zombies, and the zombie's wife (played by Tang Ying Ying), in an effort to keep her husband from leaving her, aids in the atrocities by luring victims with her beauty, becoming a vessel for her husband's hunger. Once Azu and the others learn the truth, they prepare to stop the zombies from continuing their rampage, leading to a battle between the living and the dead...
