In 1959, nine Russian mountaineers went missing near the Ural Mountains. When they were later found, they were already dead, seemingly having experienced great fear and been attacked by a force beyond human capability. This is the infamous Dyatlov Pass incident, which remains an unsolved mystery to this day. A female college student in Oregon, Holly Goss, is deeply fascinated by the event. After receiving funding, she contacts film student Matt Stokoe and three other enthusiasts to go to the site of the incident to shoot a documentary, attempting to unravel the unresolved puzzle. The initial journey is as joyful as a vacation, but as they gradually approach their destination, various bizarre incidents begin to occur, casting a shadow of foreboding over the team. The nightmare from half a century ago is about to reoccur to them…
