The disappearance of her boyfriend disrupts the previously peaceful life of ophthalmologist Du Jiazhen (played by Liu Ruoying) at a major hospital in Taipei. To lift her spirits, she whimsically decides to place a marriage seeker ad in the newspaper, hoping to find comfort through a new relationship. Once the ad is published, she attracts a multitude of peculiar applicants (including Wang Chaoming and Niu Chengze), far beyond what Du Jiazhen could ever imagine based on her past experiences. However, after meeting with each of them, she realizes that these individuals are merely seeking various forms of "desire," and her sighs in their presence are more about her lingering resentment over past heartbreaks. When Du Jiazhen decides to make one final effort to save her former love, she receives unexpected news that could either crush her last glimmer of hope or offer her a sense of relief.
