Brandy (Aubrey Plaza), a recent high school graduate from Idaho, is preparing to enter college. However, she is quite naive and has no experience with the "interactions" between boys and girls in college. At a party, she has her first taste of drunkenness and nearly has a fling with the boy she likes, Rusty (Scott Porter), but her awkward and clumsy reaction ultimately leads him to back off. Brandy begins to feel ashamed of her ignorance about sex and, in order to get a head start and successfully fit into the vibrant college life, she creates a detailed "learning list." She decides to familiarize herself with all aspects of sex before school starts, and includes having a relationship with Rusty on her "to-do list." Thus begins her experience of pushing open the door to sexual exploration...
