Hyun-soo (played by Kwon Sang-woo), originally a model student, arrives at a notoriously dark school and is very dissatisfied with the situation there. The teachers show great disrespect to the students, not only verbally insulting them but also physically assaulting them. Hyun-soo is the only student in the school who studies and has no other friends. However, he soon becomes good friends with a delinquent student, Kim Woo-sik (played by Lee Jung-jin), and both boys develop feelings for a girl named Kang Eun-joo (played by Han Ga-in).
