Massimo (played by Michele Morrone) was born into a very prosperous Sicilian mafia family, bearing the heavy responsibility of inheriting the family business from a young age. His father, the head of the family, was assassinated, and although Massimo has no interest in the mafia, as the sole heir, he has no choice but to take over his father's position as the leader. Laura (played by Anna Maria Sieklucka) is the director of a very luxurious hotel. Despite reaching the pinnacle of her career at a young age, her deep inner emptiness and emotional void often torment her. To relieve her depression, Laura invites a friend to join her on a vacation to the Sicilian archipelago, only to find herself kidnapped by Massimo. What Laura did not expect was that she would fall in love with this ruthless kidnapper.
