During the era of the Five Barbarians chaotic wars, Western Shu scout Di Mingqi (Yuan Biao) is rescued by Ding Yin (Cheng Shao Qiu) from the Southern Sea Sect, thus avoiding falling into a demonic cult. Seeing Ding Yin's exceptional martial arts, he strongly urges him to step forward and save the people of the heavens, wanting to become his disciple, but is rejected by Ding Yin. Ding Yin's junior brother, the leader of the Kunlun Sect, Xiao Ru (Liu Song Ren), becomes possessed by the Blood Demon during a battle with the demon cult's guardian. Ding Yin decides to take him to the Yao Pool Immortal Fortress for healing. The fortress master (Lin Qingxia), who is fated to keep the ice flames in the fortress from extinguishing, emerges from her meditation to save Xiao Ru. However, after Ding Yin accidentally gets injured by the Blood Demon, the master exhausts her energy while saving Xiao Ru and can only shatter the ice mirror to freeze the Blood Demon, yet everyone becomes frozen as well. Only Di Mingqi, Xiao Ru's disciple Yizhen (Meng Hai), and the female disciple of the immortal fortress (Li Sai Feng) manage to escape. To universally save the lives of the people, the three decide to go to the Tian Blade Peak to find the female hero Li Yiqi (Weng Qianyu) and the Purple and Green Twin Swords.
