Twenty years ago, in the village of Kuçi, on the slopes of Kosovo, a brutal massacre claimed the lives of many local men, and many are still missing to this day. Fali, who single-handedly cares for two children and her father-in-law, shoulders the family’s livelihood. Years after her husband’s disappearance, she decides to start a business with a group of women in the town who share similar circumstances, aiming for economic independence through homemade delicious red pepper sauce. In this conservative society filled with patriarchal ideology, the ill-intentioned townsfolk often gossip behind her back and even resort to malicious actions. With the emotional vacuum left by her husband's sudden disappearance, can Fali hold on to her beliefs and, alongside her partners, pursue self-actualization and find meaning in continuing to live? The film is based on true stories and directed by a rising filmmaker from Kosovo, focusing on the resilience and courage of women who have experienced the wounds of the Yugoslavian civil war. The camera delicately and realistically depicts the conflicts and inner struggles of the protagonist as she embodies various social roles: mother, wife, daughter-in-law, and entrepreneur. Confronted with a painful history behind her and an uncertain future ahead, it showcases moving female strength.
