Geoffrey Rush and Jai Courtney ([Suicide Squad]) join the cast of the new version of [The Story of the Pelican], which is adapted from the novel of the same name by Colin Thiele. In 1976, director Henri Safran brought this novel to the big screen. The film revolves around a story of friendship and love set against the backdrop of the Australian coastline. Directed by Shawn Seet (Australian drama [Deep Water]), the film will combine live action with 3-D computer-generated animation. Filming is set to begin in July.
