In international metropolis Shanghai, as night falls and lights come on, in a corner of the city, men and women of all ages gather, laughing and chatting. After a family dinner, just as everyone is preparing to leave, the entire street where the restaurant is located suddenly experiences a power outage. Liu Liu (played by Jiang Yiyan) stays behind to settle the bill, while her husband leaves with the others. In the suddenly quiet restaurant, only Liu Liu and a man from England (played by Tee Yoo) at the neighboring table remain. The man initiates a conversation, complimenting Liu Liu on her beauty and her son's cuteness. Perhaps in the ambiguity of the night, Liu Liu confides a secret to this stranger that even her family doesn't know. After a while, the lights come back on, and they both prepare to leave.
