In a small courtyard in the suburban area of Beijing, Hou Dong (played by Hou Jun) and his wife Wenwen (played by Li Mingyi) raised a Tibetan Mastiff named "Ben Er Tou," and they lived a very comfortable life. Soon, the area faced urban renewal, and the couple moved into an apartment. According to city management regulations, it is strictly forbidden to keep large and fierce dogs in residential areas. Not long after they moved into their new home with "Ben Er Tou," trouble began to arise. Initially, they were reported by neighbors, followed by visits from the neighborhood committee, and finally, even the police came to set a deadline for them to find a way to remove the dog. The couple prepared to temporarily place "Ben Er Tou" with relatives and friends, but the dog started a hunger strike at their homes. With no other choice, Hou Dong had to bring "Ben Er Tou" back home. As the deadline approached, Hou Dong repeatedly took "Ben Er Tou" to the wilderness to release it, but the dog always returned to its owner's house. When "Ben Er Tou" finally realized that its owner intended to abandon it, it chose to say goodbye...
