The socially marginalized individual, Kostadin (played by Janne Hyytiäinen), is an inconspicuous security guard. His life and career are filled with a sense of failure; if he ever struggled, it was in vain, as the endless loneliness and inferiority complex have firmly enveloped him. He seems to have been forgotten by this world for far too long. The beautiful Mirja (played by Maria Järvenhelmi) unexpectedly appears, and with her favor, Kostadin's life finally sees a glimmer of hope. Unexpectedly, Mirja's approach to Kostadin is merely part of a jewelry store robbery plan. Poor Kostadin not only silently endures an emotional betrayal but also ends up in prison because of it. Even after being released on bail, while there seems to be hope for rebuilding everything, misfortune refuses to leave this small man, striking him again mercilessly. With nowhere to turn, Kostadin can only hope for a sliver of dawn in his life.
