The quiet and introverted youth Tam experiences repression in both his sexuality and personal growth, eventually becoming lovers with Phum in an abandoned pool mansion. Their rooftop meetings seem like a beautiful LGBTQ love story blossoming in spring. However, director Anucha Boonyawatana has meticulously orchestrated a twist. When Tam, in a moment of panic at the junkyard, kills a man with a gun in self-defense, the atmosphere shifts abruptly to horror as blood spills, and the boy begins to see hell, filled with shadows everywhere. He discovers his brother's corpse only to turn around and find it gone; how did the pool of blood under the bed come to be? Perhaps he is not merely a victim but a harbinger of death. The blue ambiance intertwines reality with psychological themes of guilt and punishment, where the black figure of Buddha emerges in Freudian shadows.
