England in November 1932. Gosford Park is a gathering place for the elite, where Sir William McCordle and his wife Sylvia have invited friends and family for a hunting party. The guest list is diverse: a countess, a World War I hero, a British music icon, and an American filmmaker shooting “Charlie Chan.” As the guests gather in the lavish upstairs studio, their personal attendants stand around the grand residence, while the servants crowd the kitchen and the downstairs hall. With a scream, the Sir is dead. During the investigation of the case, deep conflicts are revealed between the guests, and the truth is not surprising, but rather the unseemly faces behind the so-called elite are shocking.
