Joaquin (Leonardo Sbaraglia) is a paraplegic who spends his days in a wheelchair. However, Joaquin is also a highly experienced engineering technician, skilled in mechanics and possessing hearing sensitivity several times greater than that of an average person. With his outstanding professional knowledge, Joaquin organizes his life meticulously. One day, a beautiful single mother named Porta (Clara Lago) arrives with her 6-year-old daughter Betty (Uma Salduende) to stay at his place, bringing vibrancy to Joaquin's otherwise dull life. By chance, Joaquin discovers that a gang of robbers is living in his house, planning to dig a tunnel underground to carry out their bank robbery.
