Terrence Malick will once again direct a World War II-themed film following his 1998 work "The Thin Red Line." The new film is based on true historical events, telling the story of Austrian soldier Franz Jägerstätter (played by August Diehl) who refused to fight for Nazi Germany during WWII and was ultimately sentenced to death. It is said that this will be a World War II film with a style completely different from "The Thin Red Line."
