Water police Hui (played by Anthony Wong) and his columnist wife A-Zhi (played by Gigi Leung) originally planned to travel to Japan during their holiday, but A-Zhi's mother (played by Roland) and younger sister A-Fun (played by Cheung Yuk-San) in Yuen Long have recently been harassed by developers. Hui reluctantly agrees to accompany A-Zhi to Yuen Long to guard his mother-in-law's old house. Upon arrival, a wandering Feng Shui master warns the couple that the house is cursed, the previous Feng Shui arrangements have already gone awry, and it is the most sinister of haunted houses; a disaster will occur within seven days, but Hui does not take it seriously.
