Water police Hui (played by Anthony Wong) and his columnist wife A-Zhi (played by Gigi Leung) originally planned to travel to Japan during their holiday, but A-Zhi's mother (played by Roland) and younger sister A-Fun (played by Cheung Yuk-San) in Yuen Long have recently been harassed by developers. Hui reluctantly agrees to accompany A-Zhi to Yuen Long to guard his mother-in-law's old house. Upon arrival, a wandering Feng Shui master warns the couple that the house is cursed, the previous Feng Shui arrangements have already gone awry, and it is the most sinister of haunted houses; a disaster will occur within seven days, but Hui does not take it seriously. On the first night of their stay, Hui accidentally stumbles upon some villains pretending to be ghosts for the developers, and encounters a crying girl in the courtyard. From that point on, a series of strange occurrences happen, and the family's relationship becomes increasingly tense. The truth behind these haunting events is surprisingly related to Hui and A-Zhi's childlessness…
