This is a story about two陌生 young people who are busy with their lives in Beijing. Chen Mo (played by Wang Lingbo) sells flowers on the street, eager to earn more money; while Mei Ting (played by Du Huanan) works in a hair salon, dreaming of one day becoming a star. A twist of fate brings them together when urban management officers chase Chen Mo, forcing him to hand over the flowers he has to Mei Ting, who happens to be passing by. However, Mei Ting unintentionally discards these flowers. Despite coming from broken families, they decide to team up, not out of love, but to build a happy family they have never had. They start a game where every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Chen Mo plays Mei Ting's father; while on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, Mei Ting plays Chen Mo's mother. They believe that only the care of a father and the warmth of a mother represent the truest emotions. Despite the cold, cruel, and noisy world outside, they create an almost perfect world together in their small room, filled with warmth and harmony. The dim light makes everything around them feel warm. However, in the end, Chen Mo is killed in a robbery by fellow townsmen, while Mei Ting continues her days working in the salon, facing life's challenges alone. This story is filled with warmth and emotion, showcasing how people support each other in difficult times to create a warm world of their own.
