Ah Hu is a free fighting boxer (played by Andy Lau). He participates in a competition in Thailand representing Hong Kong with the mindset of "throwing fake punches," completely not thinking about winning. In Thailand, Ah Hu meets a female photographer named Ah Ping, and the two develop feelings for each other. During the competition, Ah Hu, disinterested in fighting, gives up midway; however, his opponent, sensing weakness, deliberately provokes him. Angered, Ah Hu accidentally kills his opponent, resulting in a 13-year prison sentence.
After being released from prison, Ah Hu is eager to find Ah Ping, only to discover that she has passed away and left behind their daughter, Poly. Ah Hu then desperately searches for his missing daughter. During his journey, he meets the head of the orphanage, Ling (played by Kiko Mizuhara), who helps him locate his daughter. Poly, similarly stubborn, is very upset about her father's abandonment of her and her mother, and Ling mediates between them. The daughter demands that Ah Hu win a boxing match before they can reconcile. Later, someone recognizes Ah Hu as the murderer from years ago…
