The film's story takes place within 24 hours, revolving around the charming yet troubled male lead Ben Burns. On a disastrous Christmas Eve, he returns home, completely unaware of the consequences. His mother, Holly Burns, welcomes her beloved son with caution and warmth, only to discover that he still has significant issues. Within this potentially life-changing 24 hours, she will do everything in her power to prevent their family from falling apart.
