The story takes place during the Iran-Iraq War, where Shideh (played by Narges Rashidi), a mother, yearns to return to university to complete her studies, but historical issues shatter her academic dreams. Her husband Iraj (played by Bobby Naderi) is a successful doctor who recently received a conscription notice, which further unsettles Shideh, who is already troubled. After an unpleasant argument, the family of three shares a heartbreaking farewell. Their young daughter Dorsa (played by Avin Manshadi) struggles to sleep at night, haunted by terrifying stories of djinn from her friends, living in constant fear of horror looming overhead. As the war draws closer to their doorstep, death threatens this lonely mother and daughter, while supernatural occurrences begin to unfold in their precarious home…
