This film is adapted from the novel "Highly Classified: President, CIA Director, and Agents" by Stansfield Turner, who served as the Director of the CIA from 1977 to 1981. 　　Osbourne (John Malkovich) is a senior analyst at the CIA who is fired due to alcohol problems. Depressed, Osbourne returns home, where he is ignored by his wife. His wife Katie (Tilda Swinton) is a cold-hearted professional doctor who is having an affair with Harry (George Clooney) from the Treasury, enjoying time together on a boat.
