When Mosquito (played by Zhao Youting) moved to Monga at the age of 17, he entered the underworld because of a chicken leg and met four good brothers: Monk (played by Ruan Jingtian), Zhilong, Abo, and Baihou, forming the Prince Gang. The Prince Gang adheres to the spirit of loyalty without questioning the meaning, gaining influence at school through Zhilong's father, Geta (played by Ma Rulong), who holds a position in the underworld. Entering the underworld means experiencing bloody trials; however, Monk, as the guardian of the group, always helps them to navigate crises. The traditional order of the underworld in Monga faces threats from modern civilization, as the outsider Grey Wolf (played by Niu Chengze) seeks collaboration with the big shots of Monga, only to be rejected. At this time, Monk, feeling resentful towards Geta due to the history between their parents and encouraged by Wen Qian, becomes embroiled in a conspiracy. The situation in Monga is fraught with hidden dangers and killing intent, as the five brothers navigate the choices between the underworld and friendship, depicting a tragic story of youth. The director Niu Chengze describes "Monga" as a "vibrant and glamorous youth action film." The film was released during the 2010 Lunar New Year season in Taiwan, achieving a box office of 60 million New Taiwan dollars in its opening week, breaking the box office record for local films in Taiwan.
