Ah Wei (played by Sin Bi) is a native Hong Kong man who is deeply passionate about movies. Before 1997, he went to England to study film. He intended to return to Hong Kong after graduation to achieve something great, but just as he returned, Hong Kong underwent its sovereignty transfer. In a time of change, the economy took a downturn, and the film industry hit rock bottom. Ah Wei faced a long period of stagnation, feeling despondent and hopeless; eventually, he decided to join the social assistance program. Thus, Ah Wei lived alone in a small room, relying solely on social assistance to get by. In 2010, he met a sex worker named Mei (played by Pan Wan Wei) who lived downstairs, and through a twist of fate, he brought her into his life of despair. To his surprise, Mei was very eager, and the two quickly hit it off, deciding to live together. In order to provide Mei with a better life, Ah Wei decided to take the risk of smuggling drugs...
