The unremarkable Ali (Matthias Schoenaerts) was once a successful fighter, but after an injury, he lost his means of livelihood. In his time of need, he moves in with his sister and finds a job as a bodyguard. One night, Ali meets the beautiful Stephanie (Marion Cotillard), who has been involved in a dispute with someone else. Stephanie is a killer whale trainer, but this girl, who lives a worry-free life surrounded by glamour, loses both her legs during a routine performance.
