For anti-racism organizations, Eli Worman (played by Al Pacino) is a rare public relations tycoon. Despite his disheveled appearance and lethargy, he navigates effortlessly among politicians, merchants, and celebrities. He leverages his connections to continuously create news in the political and media landscape. By chance, he meets the actress Gilly (played by Tea Leoni), who breaks down in tears in his car, relying on Eli's pills to relieve her stress. Later, he follows her to the top of the World Trade Center, where a hedonistic private party is taking place, and Eli inadvertently witnesses a murder. A night in Manhattan makes Eli begin to reflect on the threats he faced at work, and he later seeks help from his old friend Victoria (played by Kim Basinger), but escaping the troubles proves to be much more complicated...
