At a concert, violinist Ryan (Leslie Nielsen) encounters the beautiful woman Lauren (Kelly LeBrock), who flirts with him, leaving Ryan flustered. UN Secretary-General Robert is scheduled to give an anti-terror speech in Colombia, and Lauren's husband, Hibben, is responsible for the arrangements. Ryan receives an invitation from Lauren, specifying that she will commit suicide if he doesn't attend. An anxious Ryan arrives at Lauren's villa, only to find Hibben already dead. Suddenly, a one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged man appears and knocks Ryan unconscious. When Ryan wakes up, he has been arrested by the police, and absurdly, he is charged with the murder of Hibben. Despite his insistence on his innocence, he is taken to prison. On the way, the prison van accidentally goes off a cliff, and miraculously surviving, Ryan begins a frantic escape, needing to evade capture while also finding evidence to clear his name!
