Once, Billy (Jake Gyllenhaal) was renowned in the boxing world for his fierce and ruthless left fist, unmatched by anyone, and rightfully the champion. However, an unexpected event caused Billy to lose his beloved wife Maureen (Rachel McAdams), and this tragedy completely broke him.
