Weak-minded adult Fat Cat, sentenced to prison for committing a crime, is released on bail. Social worker Maggie is assigned to care for Fat Cat. She picks him up from prison and takes him to a nearby island to pay respects to his parents. Due to a交通 accident, the two get separated, and Fat Cat wanders alone. Fat Cat is taken in by an elderly man, Uncle Wu, who appreciates his simple and optimistic nature, gaining the villagers' favor. Fat Cat participates in a village performance, which Maggie sees on TV, leading her to go to the village to reclaim him. However, the sudden intervention of the police results in serious injuries to Fat Cat.
