The film tells the story of Zhu Xiaolian, the greatest painter in Jiangnan, who enters the world of the painted walls where妖灵 reside through the ancient temple murals. He meets the first woman, Wei Sheng, who wants to paint his portrait herself, but unexpectedly disrupts the plot of the sparrow demon.
