Veteran cop Ah Hui (played by Chow Yun-fat) is a flirt by nature. Thanks to the protection from his father's former subordinate, Uncle Jan (played by Huang Jan), Ah Hui finds himself unfazed by promotions at the police station, enjoying a leisurely life. However, the arrival of new officer Cao Liangkong (played by Li Yuanba) disrupts this status quo. Cao's bold and reckless approach to handling cases embarrasses Ah Hui, who, despite his resentment towards Cao, is forced to partner with him due to their superior's orders.
