Buck is a strong and robust dog who originally lived a comfortable life in the home of a judge. He was stolen by a gardener and sold into the frigid wilderness of Alaska to become a sled dog. Buck's tumultuous fate did not end there; he went through several owners who treated him brutally and coldly. Moreover, Buck faced tremendous challenges within the pack to maintain his status.
This time, John (played by Harrison Ford) becomes Buck's new owner. Fortunately, John is a kind man who treats Buck gently and heals his battered body. Over time, a strong friendship develops between the man and the dog. However, in an unexpected turn of events, John is killed by Indians, and the enraged Buck loses his sanity, seeking vengeance for his owner.
