Old Left (played by Anthony Wong) is a thoroughgoing leftist from the old generation in Hong Kong. He hums the songs "Ode to the Motherland" and "Capture the Tiger Mountain by Strategy," proudly waving the great banner of serving the people. His biggest wish in life is to see Tiananmen in Beijing. Old Left wholeheartedly serves the people, entirely neglecting his own family, which causes dissatisfaction in his son, Left Zhong (played by Ronald Cheng).
