During World War II, the German army was retreating steadily, but the military defeats did not stop the German forces from carrying out massacres in their French colonies. On the contrary, the German army began even more frenzied killings. The doctor Julien (played by Philippe Noiret) in Paris, feeling the increasingly tense atmosphere in the city and fearing for his family's safety, arranged for his wife and children to return to the countryside to avoid the turmoil. Julian had sent his wife back to the countryside for some time and decided to return to visit his family. To his dismay, he found only bloodstains remaining—the cruel German soldiers had massacred the small village. Enraged, Julien found an old gun in the old house in the village. He decided to raise the sword of vengeance against the German army!
