The story takes place during the Yuan Dynasty. The legendary assassin Zixia Wolf (played by Shin Hyun-joon) stands on the roof of a noble mansion, gazing at the woman who has captivated his heart for a lifetime, filled with mixed emotions. Many years ago, Liu Zhenhe, a descendant of the Goryeo tribe, roamed the world as a performer, honing his martial skills. He accidentally rescued the daughter of a Mongolian general, Shirley, in the woods. The two innocent children became friends, and their bond deepened over ten years, leading to a profound attachment. However, fate intervened, forcing Zhenhe to part ways with Shirley (played by Kim Hee-sun). Shirley is bound by her father's wishes and is about to marry the only son of the Nangong family, Nangong Jung-guang. After mastering unparalleled martial arts, Zhenhe learns about his true identity and finds his way back to Shirley, but helplessly realizes that fate cannot be changed. As Zhenhe becomes Zixia Wolf, he finds himself at odds with the Nangong family of the Qinyuan faction, and he inevitably drifts further away from the woman he has always loved, Shirley... This film is adapted from the original work of Korean comic artist Kim Hye-lin.
