Spencer (Barry Keoghan) and Warren (Evan Peters) are childhood friends who have always had quirky ideas pop into their heads. Over the years, they have unwittingly caused countless troubles together. The boring academic life at university makes the two boys feel suffocated, and they are in desperate need of some fun. In a chance encounter, they discover that the university library has valuable original Audubon prints and some equally expensive original art books. A bad idea arises, which might become their key to wealth. Without hesitation, Spencer and Warren enlist the help of two other friends, and the four of them devise a seemingly perfect, yet fundamentally flawed, theft plan. Unexpected events unfold during the execution of the plan.
